Another transatlantic guest for our 6th webinar; we reach out to Dr Simon Morand-Beaulieu from McGill University and the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Simon, who won the Professor Mary Robertson Award in Lausanne in 2022, is a neuroscientist interested in the brain function and cognitive processes of children, adolescents, and adults living with Tourette syndrome. He is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at McGill University, and he is also training at the Université du Québec à Montréal to become a clinical neuropsychologist.
His research focuses on cognitive control in people living with Tourette syndrome and ADHD, as well as tic control through voluntary tic suppression and behavioural therapy.
He is also interested in investigating irritability and anger outbursts in Tourette syndrome.
The paper referenced in this webinar will be published in Psychiatric Clinics of North America at the end of the year, or in early 2025.
